bridal flip flops

June 22, 2006

Don't laugh.  This is actually an enormous enterprise.  Shoedish stumbled upon it while looking for summer sandals – the keyword was white – and found an enormous selection of embelished rubber.  The only time flip flops would be appropriate for a wedding, were if it was on a beach, and even then it would be wiser to go barefoot.  What do you think?

More bridal flipwear here, here, and here.

Actually, they are great to wear to and from the beach wedding..because really, if you’re going sans-shoes for the ceremony, do you really want to wear heals while walking to the beach or from it? nah…

Also for the non-beach bride, for after the ceremony when she’s dancing. get comfortable! But still look cute while you dance the night away.

I am actually starting a business currently making both flip flops and foot jewelry for the barefoot bride. I live on an island in the Caribbean and we do these types of weddings all the time, and these flips are highly requested by brides. You can have flat ones for shorter dresses or even platforms if you have a long dress so it won’t drag on the sand or the dancefloor!

Check out http://www.cinderellabythesea.com in about a month and you’ll see, a few Swarowski crystals, freshwater pearls and vintage laces on a cute little white flip flop can actually be really special:)
