‘opinions please’ friday: a disappointing saks sale
January 11, 2008
We’ve been scouring the Saks 70% sale to try and find a really great shoe for a really great price and we must admit that we’re very disappointed. There’s almost always something to find. I like to think of myself as a shoe genie, but alas, maybe my luck has run out. There was an almost cute pair of flats from Delman, but even those were ho hum and than it just got nasty. No wonder these shoes are on sale, right? These glitter t-straps from Jean-Michel Cazabat look like they were decorated by a kindergarten classroom. When I was in dance as a child, we used to cover our tap shoes with tape and then plaster them with glitter before a performance. Now, is it just me, or does it look like someone poured Elmers glue over the straps and dumped a tube of glitter on these? Opinions?

I totally concur. I just last week bought a pair of Jonathan Kelsey sale shoes and behold… That metalic patent leather rubs off. Stay-away! Trust me!
